TECHNICAL SUPPORT MANAGER

Having recently celebrated the 130th anniversary of the founding of the company, DELACAMP is now the leading European value-added distributor of parts and consumables to the copier and laser printer cartridge recycling industry. From our Headquarters in Hamburg and from our UK subsidiary we distribute to customers throughout Europe, the Middle East and beyond. DELACAMP has enjoyed significant growth in recent years. In order to maintain the high standards of service to which our customers have become accustomed, we need to recruit additional experienced staff.
We are now seeking a suitably qualified individual to provide technical support to our major account customers in addition to assisting with new product development. Working closely with account managers in Germany and the UK, the role will involve face-to-face contact with customers in addition to in-house research of customer issues. Since these accounts represent a significant portion of our business, this is a key role within our company. New products are the lifeblood of our business and we work closely with our manufacturing partners to ensure that we can offer the best products as quickly as possible; through their close involvement with our key customers the successful applicant will become an important part of this process.
This person must have an extensive knowledge of all aspects of electrophotography and the cartridge remanufacturing industry in order to assist our customers to maintain both quality and profitability. Ideally this experience will have been gained from several years in a technical role within or associated with the remanufacturing industry. Knowledge of component technologies and manufacturing would be a distinct advantage as would a passing knowledge of associated subjects such as colour theory and printer communication issues.
The successful applicant will have an excellent command of English, be articulate and be able to communicate effectively with customers at all levels of seniority both verbally and in writing. The applicant must be comfortable talking with large groups in a seminar environment. Knowledge of other European languages will be helpful but not essential.
Though normally of short duration, this post will involve extensive travelling so a valid passport is required. The applicant must be familiar with common office computer software such as spreadsheets, presentation software, e-mail etc.
